Isn’t it great seeing your public school tax dollars at work? The superintendents found something to do.

Seems like a separate classification for non-boundaries makes sense! The privates still remain in their leagues and the PIAA, and keep their same schedules. In the playoffs they compete against similar schools with similar rules. That’s a win-win to me!

I think what I would enjoy watching play out would be 1 PIAA classification for all non boundary schools.

On BG’s multi-season, 59-game win streak that included the domination of a schedule of mostly all schools two, three, four times it’s enrollment, it must have been soooo much tougher to get to the playoffs and play public school teams from very small towns. It’s kind of like Penn State playing a regular season of all top-25 D-1 teams and then entering the NCAA D-3 playoffs. Also, if the Catholic high schools in central PA don’t seek out new enrollments, then why do they make tv commercials and put up billboards? Public schools don’t do that.

I actually recall Greater Johnstown SD having a few commercials on through the years. It also takes a full page in the back of the paper each month to present how good of a school it is.
