Last Week 8-0

Bald Eagle Area (1-0) @ Philipsburg-Osceola (0-1)...P-O jumped out to an early lead on West Branch last week before falling short. This week I don't see them hanging around that long. BEA isn't sneaking up on anybody this year and with some really solid skill position players back from last year's playoff squad they will be a tough out. Look for QB Jaden Jones and the Eagles to put up plenty of points again this week. BEA 48 P-O 12

Clearfield (1-0) @ Penns Valley (1-0)...Both of these teams won big last week and both seem to be much improved from last year. Many people are calling the Bison the favorite in the league this year and I believe they will slow down the PV offense. I can't say the same for the Rams in slowing down Isaac Rumery and the Clearfield offense. Clearfield 34 Penns Valley 14

Bellefonte (1-0) @ Huntingdon (1-0)...Could have easily listed this one as the game of the week and based off the Fearless Forecast submissions thus far many agree it could go either way. Bellefonte won a close one against a good Jersey Shore team last week while Huntingdon blew out rival Mount Union 40-0. Both teams lost a lot of production from last year but I think the Bearcats brought back more on the defensive side of the ball and up front. For those not going out this Friday night this game is being televised and should be a good one. Huntingdon 24 Bellefonte 21

Game of the Week
Tyrone (1-0) @ Central (1-0)...Both teams took care of their neighbors last week with Tyrone winning the backyard brawl over Bellwood-Antis 16-7 and the Dragons taking care of defending D5-A champs Northern Bedford 32-6. Both QBs make these teams go with Denver Light throwing for 230 and a TD last week for Tyrone while Noah Muthler threw for 152/2 TDs and ran for 89 and 2 more scores for Central. Defensively I think both teams are solid and turnovers/penalties could make the difference. Should be another good one that comes down to the 4th quarter. Central 20 Tyrone 14
