Bill Benbo?
Was talking football today and told someone that Colin Smith, Jaxson Daughter and Aaron Tutino were the best 3 consecutive athletes in any program in D6.  He threw out a bunch of names , some that I knew but I never heard of Benbo, he was from Bedford I thought he said

I’ll let someone else handle the Benbow question... heck of a back by the way.... as to the statement best 3 consecutive athletes? I’ll throw 3 at ya just at running back.... Marcus Owens, Mark Wyland and Jesse Jones... now Matt Sharer was there in the middle of them at QB-DB and probably most athletic player to ever play at Tyrone so there’s 4

Benbow..  Bedford, graduated 1994.  Was one of the best HS football players I have ever seen.  About 6'1 185.  Played fullback  in Bedfords double wing.  He set all kinds of records in Bedfords history.  He was also a state 100m champ and 200m runner up I believe.  Was a standout Bball player as well.  He was a first team all state football selection.  I've played, watched and coached this area for most of my life..  He would be on a very short list of the best I have seen.  He had great matchup with Artrell Hawkins their senior year Bedford vs. BM.

Runk-Cunningham-Hoenstine pretty nice trifecta from Central. They weren’t 3 consecutive years but rather 1 right after the other.

Benbow's game against Westmont his senior year might have been the single greatest individual performance I've seen in close to 30 years covering high school football. Heck, covering any high school sport.

This is just from memory...  but he set bedfords single game all purpose yards mark I think..  gonna say around 200 rushing, 100 maybe receiving, threw a long TD pass, and either a return or INT TD.  I think Bedford lost like 45-42??  I thinking Benbow was involved in each score somehow.  Westmont was ranked 3 or 4 in the state Bedford was also ranked lower like 7 or 8.  I guy was amazing.

One week FH was playing Sat. @ Westy, a friend and I went to Patton to see Bedford vs da HTS. Right before halftime, a transformer blew, putting half the field in darkness. Both teams agreed to finish the game that night, as it was. Bedford started the second half deep in darkness, they sent BB on a fly pattern, the QB chucked it as far as he could, BB caught it on outstretched hands and pulled away from everyone for a long TD. Then sad to find out a couple years later his talents were guided by the Pa. Corrections system, from the wrong side of the fences.

I believe that Benbow had a great season as a kickoff returner his freshman and only season at Edinboro.

Basketball he scored 712 points and was elite defensively, but clearly was his 3rd sport.
