What's Going on in Johhstown?

It's obviously a bad year, and every team has its ups and downs with talent and injuries. But I noticed that at Mansion Park last weekend their were about 30 fans behind the team. For a school the size of JT, with its football tradition, they can't get more than one fan per player to make the one-hour drive? No roadtrips for students? No extended families? Is this to be expected just because the Trojans are winless, or is there something else going on?

From my experience, Johnstown's crowds are only big if they are winning or they are playing McCort.

With rumors of Penna being out , it seems like there has arisen division among to the team and the fans. Reportedly Penna is not the chosen one of the current school board. Although he is liked by a large number of fans. It seems like this soap opera might get interesting.

How many fans do you expect to follow an 0-5 team to Altoona? I don't think this is unique to Johnstown. I doubt anyone other than parents would make this trip for most teams.

Why is it alright to talk negatively about Penna? Other posts talking about other coaches/programs are deleted but this is ok? Is there a reason why??

There's topics on here all the time speculating about coaching rumors and changes, they don't get deleted.

I don’t think anything in this post talks negatively about Tony. It speculates rumors regarding the program but nothing speaks negatively towards him.

I started one to defend a coach who is taking a lot of heat. A poster was critical and before we could debate it was down. Not sure if I missed something that wouldve warranted the topic to be removed? Just curious.

It was a week or two ago Crimson. It was titled something like Possible Coaching Changes in 2019. It was deleted

What's probably going on in Johnstown is that they dont have the talent. I would bet he is coaching the same as he was when they were winning. Maybe like alliquipa, the board can let him go and hire a relative of the board president.
