With only a few weeks to go what are the likely match-ups for the last week?

Right now, I think all we know is Shade/LV. The rest have to play out. North Star and Ferndale probably face Blairsville/Purchase Line.

As of Maxpreps standing it's currently

Shade - Ligonier Valley
Conemaugh Township - Northern Cambria
Windber - West Shamokin
Portage - Homer Center
Meyersdale - Penns Manor
Conemaugh Valley - Marion Center
Berlin Brothersvalley - United
Blacklick Valley - Saltburg
Ferndale - Purchase Line
North Star - Blairsville

I have no idea if these are the true standings due to the whole points situations but you get the idea.

I would love to have a Berlin/United game. That was an old rivalry back in the day.

Normal standings are based on conference record and head-to-head to break 2-way ties. I think the only way points come into play to determine standings is to break 3-way ties where Team A beat Team B beat Team C beat Team A. Then it is net game score differential in those 3 games. I believe this has actually happened at least once in 16 or 17. Interestingly, this is one of the few times in high school athletics where it is to your benefit to win by a larger margin. I don’t think playoff points are used at all to determine conference standings.

I think I figured it out over the last few years not last year, but it took a lot of time on Maxpreps.
