ICC Week 8

ICC Week 8
Kind of a bland week in the ICC with a Bellwood-Tussey showdown on the horizon in Week 9. There are two games that could be fun to watch and that have upset potential.
West Branch at Williamsburg - Williamsburg is home but in all truth they are limping to the finish line and the brutal rushing game of West Branch is coming to town like a freight train. West Branch 40 Williamsburg 0.
Mount Union at Bellwood - MU is winless but has continued to play hard and competitively. Hats off to the Trojans and their staff for that but league leading Bellwood awaits. Bellwood 35 Mount Union 12.
Juniata Valley at Mo Valley - JV has some big wins the last couple weeks and can't afford a let down like they had in Week 1. Mo Valley has hung in their and played competitively as well and they do have the Jon Dale factor. But, in this case unless JV completely unravels, no upset here. JV 34 Mo Valley 14.
Glendale at Tussey Mountain - Glendale has disappointed after showing some promise early on. Saxton continues to "rock" as the Titans roll again. Tussey Mountain 48 Glendale 6.
GAMES OF THE WEEK
Claysburg at Northern Bedford - This game could be interesting. Claysburg is playing well but they haven't won at NBC since the Jeff Lingenfelter era. NBC got a much needed win last week albeit over a stumbling Williamsburg squad. The Bulldogs are overdue to win in Loysburg and although they should be very much on upset alert, I'll say they survive. Claysburg 28 NBC 26.
Everett at Southern Huntingdon - This game is very interesting because Macen Akers makes it that way. The Warrior QB is a threat to score on every play! Can he manufacture enough TD's to blast the Rockets? Can Southern salvage a promising season that will suddenly turn into a very average one if they aren't successful this week? The Rockets should be fuming after a tough loss to TM last week and they really need this win to live up to their pre-season hype. Southern 35 Everett 30.
