Week 8 Scores....
Re: Week 8 Scores....
Unless something is changed this year, both CC, and CH have Visitor bleachers.Manfred wrote:Point Stadium one sided. Windber used to have visitor bleachers. CC & CH might as well not have visitor bleachers.
I believe the only place in the LHAC that has bleachers only behind the home team bench, is the Point. But, as Crimson said, its big enough there, that you can put some space between home/visitor fans.

The visitors side at FH is mostly FH fans from the 30 to the concession stand. Have seen this area get dicy in the past, last year, Johnstown fan at the end of the game tried to get a FH fan to "take it outside" only to find out he was running his mouth to an off duty state trooper.223113 wrote:Unless something is changed this year, both CC, and CH have Visitor bleachers.Manfred wrote:Point Stadium one sided. Seems like the issues are more with certain teams fans than certain stadiums

Yes, there is plenty of room for MOST football games, but please don't use that 7500 figure. I've been to too many AAABA games where the opening night crowd is a full house and then they estimate it at 5K. So half that or less for a sold out football game (haha).Crimson's Ghost wrote:Point Stadium is a 7500 seat stadium, even though there's one side - there's enough room where fans aren't on top of each other.

I think The Point actually gets fairly dicey. Yes, there are plenty of seats, but visiting teams don’t just go to the far end of the first base line. Instead, everyone gathers between the 40s and people can’t help but be in the middle of opposing fans.

Festival seating = first come, first served. Does anyone really want cordoned off sections for 2 teams?

The home band/cheerleaders/students sit in the right field bleachers. The visitors sit behind the third base dugout. Most of the home crowd sits near the press box, and the visitors seem to sit closer to the other 30-yard line.

Nobody suggested separating the fans. Just making an observation. Maybe 10 years ago visitors sat behind 3rd base dugout. Not now. The visiting band goes there. Not many people besides that. Now fans sit in the seats they want. Most times this means close to the 50. I’ve been to a multiple games there each of the last half dozen years or so- and that’s just the simple logistics. Most people coexist happily, some don’t... but they are interspersed. Not that long ago JHS came with a “That’s our Point “ theme and took all of the seats in the section right around the 50. Not saying it’s a bad problem, just pointing out the “size” of that facility doesn’t impact the situation much.

It’s been an entertaining year in the shade in the WestPAC.youngbuck wrote:Bit of a surprise here.knowitall wrote:CV 34 Berlin 32
