Last Week 4-1 (Overall 38-9)

Bishop Carroll (2-7) @ Clearfield (9-0)...QB Isaac Rumery needs 112 yards to hit the 2k mark for the season to go along with his 21 TDs and only 2 INTs. He will get that but probably not much more as he along with the other starters likely won't see much action in the 2nd half as this one will be over early. The Bison will get a rematch with DuBois at home next week in the 1st round of the D6/9-AAAA playoffs. Clearfield 49 Bishop Carroll 0

Hollidaysburg (5-4) @ Central (3-6)...The Golden Tigers have had a successful season playing a difficult schedule and will move on to play D8 Brashear next week in the D6/8-AAAAA subregional with a ticket to play the D10 champ on the line. It's senior night for the Dragons against a neighboring rival but the Tigers are just the better team this year. Central will miss the playoffs for the 1st time since 2011. Hollidaysburg 35 Central 14

Penns Valley (6-3) @ Philipsburg-Osceola (1-8)...The Rams upstart season continued last week with their 1st ever win over Tyrone 13-7. Penns Valley is locked into a D6-AA first round matchup with Southern Huntingdon but need a win and a SH loss to Bellwood-Antis this week to get that game at home. The Rams will not be an easy out in 2A after playing up in competition all season long. Penns Valley 41 Philipsburg-Osceola 13

Bald Eagle Area (8-1) @ Bellefonte (7-2)...The debut of brand new Rogers Stadium! The Eagles have locked up the 1 seed in 3A and will have a home playoff game next week after a last second win over Jersey Shore last week. The Eagles will rely heavily on QB Jaden Jones following the loss of playmaker Gage McClenahan. The Red Raiders have won 2 straight and have a 1st round playoff matchup with Bradford looming next week. I'm going with the momentum of playing their 1st true home game of the season on their brand new turf. Bellefonte 34 Bald Eagle Area 27

Game of the Week
Huntingdon (4-5) @ Tyrone (4-5)...After starting the season 4-0 who thought the Golden Eagles would be in this situation. A winner take all (barring PC win over FH) for the final spot in the 3A playoffs. While Tyrone is reeling the Bearcats have found their mojo and roll into this play-in game having won 3 of 4 and scoring 56 per game over the last 2 weeks with senior Andrew Hudy back under center. If there was a line on this one I think Tyrone would indeed be the favorite and I think they are the better team but....this is why they play the games. Huntingdon 21 Tyrone 20
