What size schools are they?
Re: Albert Gallatin leaves WPIAL football; Uniontown may be next
For football:
Albert Gallatin - AAAAA - 386
Uniontown - AAA - 272
On a different message board there was talk that some Fayette and Greene County schools may also follow AG and Uniontown in exiting the WPIAL. Don't know how valid that take is, but the rumor was floated.

By the look of what their records have been, this question are is probably moot. So if they do somehow, have a good season next year. They wouldn’t be eligible for postseason? Since they withdrew form WPIAL and don’t have a district ?

Since 1997, Uniontown is 68-144 (.321) overall and 48-105 in section play (.314)
Re: Albert Gallatin leaves WPIAL football; Uniontown may be next
As Bob Gregg noted, schools do not have to leave the WPIAL (District 7) to have a different schedule than what the WPIAL made for them. They can just notify the WPIAL that they will make their own football schedule, and the WPIAL will honor that request. There's much talk of Albert Gallatin and Uniontown creating a schedule of many City League (District 8) teams because most City League teams are not at the same level as most WPIAL teams so they hope they can start winning games again to add a spark to their programs.

Don't think they have any concern about playoffs now, they're just trying to keep their program alive.Aiks19 wrote:By the look of what their records have been, this question are is probably moot.
