Bg football propaganda machine
Bg football propaganda machine
In 2017 it was Max Sankey, recruit from Altoona who was supposed to be huge D1 prospect, in 2018 Bryan Speck, recruit from Huntingdon was supposed to be huge D1 prospect per the BG football twitter page. Sankey goes to Lock Haven and Speck to Clarion. Now as the ink has not even dried , Brady Bithell, recruit from Tussey is one of the top recruits in the state. Is Wheeler selling these parents on getting their kids into to D1 schools? Not very successful so far. Speck and Sankey did not even leave BG with a district title.

You act like Wheeler is calling these kids and doing visits in their home to get them to transfer. I think the only propaganda is what you’re posting.
Re: Bg football propaganda machine
Probably the dumbest post ever! He only helped develop kids and I believe helped 20-30 kids over past 7yrs. get money towards a college education and the opportunity to play at the next level.youngbuck wrote:In 2017 it was Max Sankey, recruit from Altoona who was supposed to be huge D1 prospect, in 2018 Bryan Speck, recruit from Huntingdon was supposed to be huge D1 prospect per the BG football twitter page. Many of these kids’ parents start following the pied piper when their spawn is barely out of diapers. Those who don’t flame out by ninth grade might end up paying buck bucks to play Division III

What recruiting ever went on with these players?youngbuck wrote:In 2017 it was Max Sankey, recruit from Altoona who was supposed to be huge D1 prospect, in 2018 Bryan Speck, recruit from Huntingdon was supposed to be huge D1 prospect per the BG football twitter page. So, some BG players didn't turn out to be such big college prospects? I'll add to that: many former BG standouts who went on to play in college didn't stick with football. How you interpret these two facts comes down to how you've felt about BG all along. If the team's recent success bothers you, this is proof that this football program is a propaganda machine. If you're a fan of the the team, this just reinforces the idea that the coaching staff can take average-above average kids, coach them up, get the best out of them individually, teach them how to perform collectively as a well-oiled machine, and find team success.

I've been watching parents do exactly this for over a decade now. Pay tens of thousands of dollars playing on travel teams, helping to ruin many a local little league, only to end up at Washington & Jefferson, Mt. Aloysius or St. Vincent.Wrasslerfan wrote:and how do you know that?knowitall wrote:Many of these kids’ parents start following the pied piper when their spawn is barely out of diapers. A bunch of them have gone on to Villanova, Lehigh, saint francis. I know they aren’t the Alabama’s, Clemson’s, or even penn state or Pitts of the world, but they are division 1 programs. Yes I know 1-aa but still..... if you hate it now, wait until they (maybe) pass the new legislation. You’ll have your separate playoffs like people are misguided in calling for, but kids will be able to transfer wherever they want, basically whenever they want without penalty or repercussion. What will that do to all the small public schools then ?
