ICC WEEK 2

Week One provided some highs and lows. The highly anticipated TM-CK game was a bust. The Titans appear to be the contenders to the throne while Bellwood, with a big rivalry win, remains the favorite heading into closed league play this week.
Claysburg was the weeks disappointment. Getting mauled at home isn't the way to begin a season that was supposed to be successful. Another mild surprise was how tough Mount Union played Huntingdon. The Trojans may be worthy of keeping an eye on.
Week 2 picks:
Southern Huntingdon at Northern Bedford - This should be a competitive game to open the weekend in a Thursday night special. Neither team showed much defense last week so I'm foreseeing a real shootout. NBC 44 SHC 41
Bellwood at Glendale - Perhaps Bellwood will let down a little coming off a big rivalry win but not enough to matter versus the overmatched Vikings. Bellwood 38 Glendale 0
Claysburg at Williamsburg - Might be the medicine the Bulldoggies need after a disappointing start to the season. Look for CK to pull it together and win this rivalry game handily. Claysburg 41 Williamsburg 8
Tussey Mountain at Everett - The Titan train continues although look for Everett to be up for this Bedford County rivalry and play TM tough at home for at least a half. Speed kills and TM has plenty of it. Tussey 35 Everett 13.
West Branch at Mo Valley - I look for Mo Valley to improve this year and they were competitive at SH last week. I look for their improvement to continue as they roll over their neighbors at West Branch. Mo Valley 30 West Branch 13.
GAME OF THE WEEK
Juniata Valley at Mount Union - Intriguing matchup after Mount Union played AAA Huntingdon so tough last week. Defense seems to be the Trojans strength but can they stop the JV offense consistently? Hornet Gabe Brewer averaged nearly 15 yards a rush last week. Feeling here is MU can limit the Hornets offense but can they score themselves? Penalties hurt MU last week and they did very little offensively so look for the Hornets to manufacture some points and win. Juniata Valley 17 Mount Union 0
