So you are at Sheetz pumping gas , guy next to you starts a conversation, turns out he is a low level D1 or D2 scout, he wants know if there are any hidden gems in the area, players that he might be interested in as he has a free night to watch a game.
Whose name would you throw out to him that you have seen play this year?

CJ Funk - Bellefonte..... but I’m pretty sure most schools know well about him already.

No such thing as D1 or D2 scouts, it’s not the 80’s.

With technology and programs like Hudl college coaches don’t come to high school games anymore unless they already are recruiting a kid. They are just not driving around looking for random talent. With the exception of camps/AAU. They can do that from their computer chair.

I appreciate your efforts, most likely what will happen is someone will promote a player and about 10 people will tell you why he is not good enough.  A lot of back in my days type of posters. I have only been to one game this year but I’m not a scout?

I’ll go with Logan Pfister - Chestnut Ridge. All State QB as a Sophomore. Has good size at about 6’3” 185 lbs. Ridiculous athlete who can ran and pass. I could definitely see him getting the attention of some scouts.

Agree 100%. I have no idea what it takes to be a D1 prospect, but he definitely is an amazing athlete.
