It has not yet been proved that Bonds KNOWINGLY used steroids...That will come out in teh wash in about 5 years after all the legal wrangling.

Based on his performance, he deserves the Hall of Fame...but then again, so does Pete "The Cheat" Rose...

yeah the whole thing about him taking steriods thats all well and great but so did over half the league so should we wipe out all the records ove the past 15-20 years?

To be Honest i dont like Bonds because i think hes a Jerk and he left Pittsburgh i could care less about the steriods because so many people took them and some still do

I don't think he'll be going to the HOF. There is still a lot of information that will come out about Bonds before he is up for selection to the hall. At some point he will most likely be indicted and it will all hit the fan. Add to the fact that he's a jerk of a person, those doing the voting will not cut him any breaks. If the whole steroids thing is forgotten in 20 years, which is doubtful, he might have a shot with the old timers vote.

Because Bond's fate is ultamitly left up to the HOF voters and then the old timers commitee, I seriously dont he will get in. At least not right away. I think McGuire getting such a low percentage of votes last year is an indication of how most voters view steroids. I know he is breaking the greatest record ever, but people love and admire Hank Aaron, so most view this as a huge travisty upon his legacy and the game. Bonds is no shoe in, even with that record.

I have always thought pitchers were worse then hitters and Clemens is at the top of my list of steroid users. It so hard attacking anyone else though when Bonds has the spot light.

Ok first off people act like there is no evidence. His head grew first off but think about it most athletes when they hit there thirties slowly start to break down physically. Not him in his mid 30's alltea the sudden boom he is putting on muscle mass like crazy. Then with all the allegations its very obvious. I think he was good enough to get in if you just use his pre-steriods stats. 400 homeruns and 400 stolen bases. I think once he began to "bulk-up" he became a worse player. He went from one of the best base-stealers and fielders in the game to strickly a home run hitter which is what he was before bulking up. It doesnt matter to me if he is in or not. If he is in everyone will know the situation so what does it matter. If he is not in he did it to himself so i really dont feel bad.

He will not get in though b/c hof committee is very very concerned with the intergrity of the league and thats what will keep him out.

Ok first of all barry bonds is with know doubt getting into the hall of fame.
even if he did take steriods IT WAS NOT A RULE WHEN HE TOOK THEM and barry has passed every drug test they have thrown at him my point is . even thou he is a jerk People just need to leave him alone and except the fact that he is the new homerun champion
