West-Pac 10-11
Any thoughts on what's coming up for the West-Pac this season? or the standings?

Re: West-Pac 10-11
I think North Star will be the pre-season favorite. They have Straisser, Walker and Fleegle returning so that said they should be real tough. The second slot will be a battle between Conemaugh Township, Blacklick and Windber. Township lost some key players in Zambanini, Lysic and team leader Zaman. They had some young talent in Speigle and Boyer. Size might be a factor. Blacklick Valley returns everyone but Worthington and Stiles. They have a solid core returning with Soph. Cesarz, and seniors Stefanick, Manda, Garver and Divido. BV is lacking a solid big man too. Windber only lost one senior but with a new coach in place we will see what happens.
Portage and Conemaugh Valley were hammered by graduation and should struggle. The Blue Jays lost 8 of the first nine to hit the floor. Portage lost 10 and Cronauer and Bryja will need help since they are solid role players.

Ferndale has Stumpo back but loses Gaunt and Mattis. The Eisenhuth kid will mature and help. Cannot see plus .500 season.

I know for a fact that there are a lot of athletic kids coming back out for the basketball team now that the new coach is in place. Im not 100% sure but i think cover is playing again as well as 4 or 5 sophmores coming back for a junior season that are good ball handlers and big under the basket.

North Star is the favorite but who will be their guards? Fleegle handles the ball pretty well but do they have a true shooting guard or a point guard this year? This might be their only downfall on the upcoming team.
Re: West-Pac 10-11
I understand another Walker will be a freshman and will fit in nicely as their point guard. He needs to be consistent, keep turnovers down and feed the big three.
Re: West-Pac 10-11
North Stars gaurd's should be juniors Bloom and Zborovancik, and freshman Walker. i think these three can handle it and lead them to another d5 title along with west pac

It is my understanding that Stumpo has transfered to Conemaugh Twp. That may change the balance in the north

Is it true that Wade Walker of North Star had surgery? This is something that I heard and I was just wondering if it was a rumor or not.
