Look, I was only trying to make it easy for you to make your case regarding the recruiting at Guilfoyle.

I took the time to list the player's names so you can point of where they came from, what year they transferred and the school district that suffered as a result of their departure. After reading your post(s),
it seemed like a nice gesture on my part to provide you with BG's recent team rosters so you could illustrate to everyone on the board how BG's success has come at the expense of the publics in Blair County.

As for getting your info from the Altoona Mirror, you must have missed the article they ran a while back.
Here's an excerpt that applies to the discussion at hand:

Shocker you are an idiot.Daytripper, Bg draws from a huge area and have been in over a third of the state title games in past the 30 years.There are 2 AAAA schools in the immediate neighborhood.Yet they play single A ball.Something doesn't seem wrong with that to you? We have not seen any recruiting from BG? I believe you have been given quite a few examples here today.People who are private school supporters always want proof.The fact is these deals aren't done in a public light.Why? Because they are against PIAA rules.When a coach from that school says we recruit that should tell the tale.Keep believing what you want,if you have the time try to explain how they are in over a third of the state title games if they don't recruit!

Usatf, I can't understand why you can't get this. The man just listed all the names of the players and where they came from. They came up through and were developed in the parochial system. Sure it's from a large school district, maybe somebody somewhere was recruited at one time or anothrer, but not these group of girls! The man just gave you the facts. No heresay, just facts. I could only imagine if it were the opposite. You would be all over it listing the players' names and the public schools they attended. It was just like I tried to get you to name the transfers to McCort.....no one could. Why can't you guys say ok maybe not this year, but wait until next year, we know you'll get some transfers........then it will be your turn to lay out the facts.

And please don't go back to the number of championships they EARNED until you can list the transfers and prove your point.

As far as the classification argument, here are the numbers: A = 1-195 AA = 196-327 AAA = 328 - 539
AAAA = 540+. How many are enrolled in BG or BM? It is the enrollment at the school that the teams can draw from. Think about it.

Chestnut Ridge old guy- so when you had your conversation with the BG coach, did you tell him of your dislike and hatred toward private schools? I'm sure you did, so what did he have to say about your hatred toward privates? You did express your feelings after he told you he recruits, didn't you? :shock:

First of all crossover if BG has in the past approached kids about playing for BG what SHOULD HAPPEN? I believe some sort of suspension (PIAA rules) .Has BG ever had anything happen? I can tell you for a fact as I am good friends with this BG coach that they said that recruiting occurs.Of course they would deny such things in public for obvious reasons. You also have asked for names for McCort and were given them a number of times by hornet,and for whatever reason ignored it.If and this is a big if, this group of girls was brought up through the parochial system what about the other 10 teams that came through before and gave BG the reputation as a girls basketball school? Pretty effective way to draw girls in a very large recruiting area! It is amazing how you private lovers can try to skue facts.Let's see 1 championship for public school boys and girls A in the past 10 years and 19 private winners.Somehow we are all to believe everything is on the up and up.Don't insult my intelligence,numbers are facts. Chestnut Ridge does not play the privates during the regular season and haven't faced any in a long long time in the playoffs. CR jumped ship from the awful weak LHAC (as you see the league). Why did they leave?? I guess they wanted harder comp. in the sliding hill. You should lobby the school board to go back into the weak (as you call it) LHAC and you could face at least 3 privates a year. Then you could cry a little bit more than you already do. Since they don't really have any bearing on your lions then maybe you should cry another river about something that affects you.

This isn't a chestnut ridge issue,it is a fairness issue.Bash ridge and the sideling hill all you want.When 95% of single A titles go to private schools there is a problem.That is what is at issue here,not anything to do with ridge.You shocker you should hide and cry because the sideling hill was better than a larger school lhac this year in bball.I still see you can't even name your alma mater,must really be proud of them! Try to stay on subject next time,if your small mind will allow it!
