I heard that Kochute will resign sometime this week if he hasn't already done so. I also heard that G.Burke and P.Hollern will be interested in replacing him.

If P.Hollern gets the job who will be the next guy at BM?

is lupek gonna hang around? thought I heard that possibility on an earlier thread, and with his son being a senior and winning the district, didn't know if it was time for him.

I wouldnt say that. Even though Berke has previously experience at Richland, it does not matter, its not like his teams have done well at all at windber. I do think he would be a good fit at Richland though

Richland should talk to the Windber staff, admin, and basketball players before hiring Burke. He had a rough year down there. But then again, it doesn't take much to get basketball head coaching jobs and 10 year contracts in this area.

I heard through the grapevine on Sunday that there may be some dissention in boswell. Seems as though from a pretty reliable person that we may see a change at North Star too. Mr Loya may not agree with it but it seems as though it may be beyond his control at this point

Let me make sure I have this correct: North Star wins 20 games, a 5AA championship, and qualifies for the PIAA AA playoffs, and some folks want to remove the coach.

Why?

From what I understand a parent of a player has a problem with Coach Loya. 20 wins and a district title is a great job but the rumor mill has some questionable behavior. He is said to have grabbed Fleegle after the Berlin game, has made comments to opposing players from the bench, ran the scores up on opponents..etc. I do not know if this information is valid because I did not witness it. I do know that there was rumor of transfer talks by two players from that school and again they could both be BS. I heard Fleegle was considering a transfer to Somerset High School by claiming residency and Straisser was supposedly considering a private school education at Bishop McCort, both if Coach Loya captined the ship.

I've heard these rumors too. All the players i've talked too at North Star say that Coach Loya has no idea what he is doing. I watched them stall the ball in the 3rd quarter when they were only up by 5 points. Why would someone do that? Also i heard rumors about players moving too. I don't know about Fleegle but i heard that Walker was telling people about going to a private school also. I actually think its the team they play this Saturday, Greensburg Central Catholic. This is talk i've heard since the start of the season. I know that the players have a problem with the coach.
