Most teams open with tip-off tournaments this weekend.  What are the best match-ups to go watch Friday night?  What are the best potiental match-ups for Saturday worth going to see?

FH ladies hosting St. College, preceded by Punxsy vs BGU. On the boys' side, they are @ Central(Dragons) for a regular season opener.

Interested in how the area's best look. Central Cambria's opener vs Penns Manor, Forest Hills vs Central, and Richland's opening game with C. Ridge.  I don't know much about the matchups, but I am excited to see how each open the season.  Water cooler talk is that either of these two teams may advance deep into the state playoffs (Elite 8s, Final Fours).  I am optimistic that we could get some state recognition from the boys programs in the area.

I have a common sense answer for you....It's called a rivalry. Rivalries are born of geography and familiarity not necessarily of excellence. Teams have good years and bad years but the bad years are a little better if you can best your rival. Just think how much better you, The
Prophet, felt about yourself the one time out of six that BC was able to beat CC the last two years.

Penn Cambria and Central Cambria should be a good one, both teams should be contending for the highly competitive LHAC Section I.
