Double header at UPJ should be fun. 2 teams with local flavor in the early game and some serious talent in the 6A boys tilt to follow.

Local teams did very well last night, not sure how tonight will play out. On paper, it does not look like it will be an easy night. At the very least, we know either Juniata Valley or Berlin will be moving on.

I'm taking Richland, BC and JV. I think SC/PR is a toss up and should be a good game.

Of the boys, I like Richland for sure. I don't really like any of the matchups for the AA teams. I'd hope the bracket changes next year, the D6 champ should get to stay in the West. If they want to send teams to the East, make the consolation teams go there.

I don't think anyone has a particularly easy game, I'm not guaranteeing BG, Township, and McCort to lose though.

BREAKING NEWS out of UPJ: the scoreboard malfunctioned and it couldn't keep score of 3 three teams that was playing. The scoreboard should have read Berlin (home grown) Mountaineers 27, AAU All-Star team (CR, NBC, and Altoona?) 26, and Juniata Valley (homegrown) Hornets 25. I don't think the PIAA will do anything about it, but it is sad that this is allowed.
