Yea, Tyrone built big lead, then towards end of 3rd missed couple layups off turnovers and Trojans hit 3 straight 3’s to get it about even.... seemed like they traded the lead 5-6 times down the stretch... two good teams... the young guys I think grew a lot in the loss... Eagles are gonna be dangerous now

I think that was Johnstown’s 3rd game in 4 days. No wonder they were so sluggish.EaglealumsGhost wrote:Johnstown on buzzer beater 55-54 over Tyrone

From reading the Mirror looks like at one point in the 3rd it was 9-1 fouls. Tyrone almost double JTown up with foul attempts. Wasn’t at the game and didn’t speak to anyone at the game but after watching the Trojans dismantle my BC squad I have a hard time believing JTown should ever get out shot from the foul line with how much they go inside and drive. Looks like refs are treating them like they did Shaq in the 90’s. Hahah

Manfred, but it looks like the FH ladies being 4A is by choice. Per the PIAA website, FH has a girls enrollment of 193 female students. There area 5 schools (CC, Central, Ligonier, PC, Tyrone) with higher enrollment than FH that are 3A. Same with Portage(97 enrollment), they moved to 5A (with Bellfonte-325, Hollidaysburg-408, Central Mountain-438), . Thoughts? Easier route to District Title since 4A and 5A only have 4 teams each? If so, wouldn't it hurt them once they are out of District Playoffs and into States? Have they moved up to avoid the small private/charter schools that often seem to dominate playoffs? Are they looking for better competition - both schools have been somewhat successful?
Re: Scores 1-7 - 1-12
The move was voluntary. It's likely been done to avoid the logjam of good teams in 3A. Yes it will hurt them once outside D6. An added benefit is the better competition the younger girls will face once there. You had all the answers in your questions- did you need affirmation?
It ain't over until it's over.
