Because if you've ever tried ice skating then you know how difficult it is and these guys can hit harder than football players on skates.
They can hit harder than football players? Anybody aided by being able to glide on ice can obviously move faster and create a greater impact, plus, unless you're talking arena football, the hockey players, 8 times out of 10, will hit someone into a wall, causing a harder impact. I also believe that no hockey player will start from 3 yards away to make a bone crushing hit, a nice 30 yard jaunt at someone is always a nice advantage to have over an opponent. Not taking anything away from hockey, because I know it to be one of the most physically taxing sports around, just to say that you would rather be hit by a LB than a defensemen in the NHL would just be insane.
first off i hate nascar...i just can't sit there and watch cars go around in circles.
You have never been to a NASCAR race in person then there count. I can not stand to watch racing on T.V. In no way shape or form. But when we go to Richmond every year, it's just as exciting as watching a football game in person. The reason not everybody in the world likes NASCAR is because not everybody can understand it. I know that there isn't much to understand when it comes to who is winning but there is little effects in the race and so many variables that if you have the mind for it, it can become exciting. Everybody understand big hits and long pass plays, not everybody knows or wants to know pit strategy and the miniscule changes made to cars to make the big difference after a pit stop. Plus, where else can you jam in 200,000 of America's finest to watch something for 3 hours and keep their attention? Nascar must be doing something right...

i'd take a three yard away hit from a defensive lineman than an open ice hit from a hockey player anytime. what other sport in the world allows players to fight right in the middle of the game? NONE. i love watching at home and at the rink.

I didnt say lineman there count, read what you want to read do you? I said if you give an NoHL defensemen 3 yards to hit a person, I would be willing to bet all that I have he could not hit near as hard as an NFL Linebacker. If you put that same NFL star on ice and let him get a flying start at someone on ice, he could hit just as hard if not harder than any NoHL 'star'.

The Flyers are just like the Titanic. They both look good until they hit the ice

Hockey over for the season even though this is about two months out of date. Hockey players need to quit being greedy.
