Roberts undefeated at National Duals

There’s no offseason for Nick Roberts.
Only a few months removed from winning his first PIAA state wrestling championship as a freshman, Roberts was back on the mat this past weekend facing some of the top competition in the country.
The soon-to-be North Star High School sophomore helped lead team Pennsylvania to a seventh-place finish in the Freestyle division at the USA Wrestling Cadet National Duals in Rochester, Minn.
Wrestling at 98 pounds, Roberts, 15, was the only Pennsylvania grappler to go undefeated (17-0) in both the Freestyle and Greco-Roman divisions.
Illinois captured the team title in both the Freestyle and Greco-Roman divisions. Pennsylvania placed third in the Greco-Roman team competition.
Roberts plans to travel to Fargo, N.D., in July for the individual Cadet National Championships, where he captured both Freestyle and Greco-Roman national titles last year at 84 pounds.
He is the son of Scott and Bonnie Roberts of Hooversville.

That is a Great job for Roberts! However the BEST 103 wrestler in the state is from Derry. He also won at states this year! The wrestler from Derry also pounded Roberts the last time they wrestled!
