I've seen Fortson wrestle a few times at dist.'s and regionals. I'd like to see him wrestle too, instead of just take-downs and cutting his man loose for more takedowns. Guess that's really rasslin'.

That is today's wrestling. Can't take away from the kid for that. In my opinion most matches at the state level are won on your feet. Most state level kids don't get turned and most can get out off the bottom. Make's wrestling on you feet very important.

Now of course you do have the boys from Tyrone that seem to just wreslte like raped apes on that mat. But they are in their own league as far as riding goes. IMO

some of the biggest matches of the weekend will be Friday night. 119- Beckman/Walsh....130 Garbinsky/Spishak .. and 135- Schopp/Hodgkins... possibly Cowburn/Gallaher, not to mention dozens of other great matches......It's only Tuesday.

I completely agree--I hate watching 'neutral' matches with no mat action. I love seeing tilts, bars, riding legs, etc. I hate watching a good wrestler make a lame attempt on top, just to cut him at the first sign of movement. There is so much more action 'on' the mat.....
