285

(333) Brent Sterner, Susquenita, fall Morgan Selepack, West Branch, 4:00
(334) Trevor Stover, Biglerville, dec. Mitchell Hall, Tussey Mountain, 6-3

And we do get a Hall vs Selepack rematch ... only for 7th/8th ...

Here's a story of how slim the margins can be ...

In the NW Regional ...

http://liveresults.escapesports.com/PIA ... ament.html#

... a kid named Forrest Christmann (12) Slippery Rock 30-3 ... he lost to Sam Breese in the Semi's 2-1 ... then lost to Nicholas Budd 2-1 to finish 4th ... and the NW Region only gets 3 places at Hershey ... so he went home ...

While the 2 kids he lost 2-1 to are now Finalists!

Just sayin' that he can make a case for being #3 in the state at 285#s ... just by the slimest of margins and the vagaries of brackets, we'll never know for sure :-)

Stover pounds Dunn, 13-1 ... so it's Butty vs Dunn for 5th tomorrow ...

Both Buttry and Hall finish the season with Ws!

Finals
(420) Samuel Breese, Lakeview, dec. Nicholas Budd, Port Allegany, 3-1

3rd Place
(406) Trevor Stover, Biglerville, fall Brent Sterner, Susquenita, 1:36

5th Place
(405) Austin Buttry, Chestnut Ridge, maj. dec. Andrew Dunn, Bethlehem Catholic, 10-2

7th Place
(404) Mitchell Hall, Tussey Mountain, dec. Morgan Selepack, West Branch, 11-6

Interesting that both guys that Buttry lost to yesterday (Budd and Sterner) lost today ...

Breese + Buttry + Dunn + Selepack will be back next year ...

Here's a note about Mironenko's DQ ... http://dailyitem.com/0200_sports/x21099 ... ected-exit ... he'll be back next year, too.

I heard someone ask an official about his missing the next event. He said it could be any sport not just wrestling so if he played baseball or track he is suppossed to miss that first game or event, it's not limited to wrestling is what he said.

I don't think that official is correct. I think the PIAA rules says that you miss the next game or match in that sport NOT in another sport. What sense would be if he sits out a track meet, baseball game, or even a football next fall for an incident that happened on the wrestling mat?? I would be shocked if the PIAA allowed that to happen.
