Predictions..

Somerset is joining D-5. Is Bedford still the team to beat next year? If not who is?

With the loss of Thomas, Maust, Ripple, and Easter, Bedford will have a rough time being the team to beat in Bedford County let alone D5, and Claysburg, Ridge, and NBC will be licking their chops to stop the dual meet winning streak, it will probably go to whoever wrestles them first.....

WOW! PREDICTING bEDFORD LOSING TO ALL THREE? THEY BEAT CR BY 30 TWICE THIS YEAR!!! I CAN DEF. SEE THEM LOSING TO CK. NOT TO CR THOUGH AND I STILL SEE NBC AS A TOSS UP. BEDFORD HAS A VERY GOOD GROUP COMING IN TOO VARSITY. I THINK THEY HAD 6 CHAMPS IN THE 13-14 AGE GROUP AT PHILIPSBURG. ALL OF WHCICH WILL MOST LIKELY BE IN VARSITY NEXT YEAR. IT'S ALL ABOUT MATCHUPS AND BEDFORD WILL STILL HAVE 6 OR 7 KIDS THAT ARE VERY TOUGH TO BEAT. BUT NEXT YEAR WILL BE THE YEAR TO DO IT BECAUSE THEY WILL BE EXTREMELY TOUGH AFTER THAT.

Wow, someone is a little fired up. I don't know how much you know about wrestling, lefteye, but don't get your expectations up too high off of a 13-14 year old tournament in Phillipsburg. At least not when you're going to compare it to Varsity wrestling for the next season. They are wrestling other 13-14 year old boys. In Varsity, they will be wrestling against kids that are 17-18 years old at times. Success at Junior Olympics doesn't exactly mean success at the Varsity wrestling level. Kids mature at different ages and trying to judge talent in wrestling at the ages of 13 and 14 is near impossible. Bedford will be good again next year like usual, but I hope your expectations for next year's team is not the same as you have had for the past few years or you're going to be in for a major letdown.

I wasn't fired up. Just had the cap lock on. I know you can't totally judge a team based on what you hope 13-14 year old kids will do. I also don't expect another undefeated season. I thought this years team would lose 3 or 4 matches before the season started. I am just saying that Bedford will again have a group of kids that will be very hard to beat. I think just saying CR who they beat by 30 twice will beat them might be a stretch. There were some Jr. High kids that wrestled varsity kids at Philipsburg. Thomas 8th grader who will be in varsity next year actually beat Replogle 2 times who is a 9th grader and wrestled varsity this year. He was a kid bedford couldn't beat this year in Varsity but maybe can next year.

I think you will see a Bedford team next year with more depth and less holes. Most weights should be solid with 2 kids that will prob be a states looking for medals.

I would agree that on paper NBC and CK are favorites in the county. However Bedford will be solid and has not lost a regular season dual meet since 06 so they shouldn't be overlooked so quickly.

Lets also not forget the other seniors Bedford is losing this year, "quality" starters Geisler and Browell are seniors as well as "stand ins" Keister and Claycomb, both of whom saw more action last year than this though, but probably would have started on many other county teams. And I didn't give Ridge the win over the Bisons already, was just saying that if the streak is still on the line when they wrestle, it will be a nail biter of a match.....

No way Bedford beats Northern Bedford next year. Who other than Gibbons wins for the Bisons from 140 up?

If the over/under is one win from 140 up, I'll take over. Not sure who, but surely someone can win other than Gibbons.

More Depth with Less Holes???? How can you even type that and not ask yourself, WTF am I writing??? Think again about Bedford's lineup next year and try to justify that statement with names, please.....
