Gill shouldn't be ahead of Buttry.

Here's the OTM rankings as of 2/18 ...

http://knopsnyder.blogspot.com/2013/02/ ... -2013.html

285
NAZAR MIRONENKO 11…Mifflinburg 4
TREVOR STOVER 12…Biglerville 3
JEFF BURGER 12…Union City 10
ALEX SHIBER 12…Central Columbia 4
SAM BREESE 11…Lakeview 10
FORREST CHRISTMANN..12…Slippery Rock 10

BRADY MUTTON 11…Pen Argyl 11
JAKE BEISTEL 09…Southmoreland 7
ANDREW DUNN 10…Bethlehem Catholic 11
RIAN SHUBECK 10…Panther Valley 11

We saw these rankings hold up in the D5 finals yesterday ... Hall beating Buttry 4-2 in OT ...

In D6 finals last week ...

http://www.cementjob.com/piaa/2012-2013 ... pionships/

... the result was a flip ... Morgan Selepack, WB, dec. Aaron Gill, CH, 5-4 OT.

In the other SW region, D7 ...

http://liveresults.escapesports.com/PIA ... L_7AA.html#

... the rankings were correct, as Beattie pinned Beistel at 5:07.

That tells me we've got 6 big guys that will be wrestling for 5 spots in Hershey ... gonna be HUGE!

Quick check of how the other top HWTs in the state did at districts ...

D4 ... http://liveresults.escapesports.com/PIA ... AA_IV.html ... Mironenko beat Shiber, 3-1

D3 ... http://liveresults.escapesports.com/PIA ... A_III.html ... Stover pinned Wertz @ 4:58

D10 ... http://liveresults.escapesports.com/PIA ... 10_AA.html ... Christmann beat Burger 5-0 ... with Breese taking 3rd (after losing to Burger in Semi's)

D11 ... http://liveresults.escapesports.com/PIA ... XI_AA.html ... Dunn beat Shubeck 6-1 ... with Mutton taking 3rd (after losing to Dunn)

So that's the biggest of the bigs ... lots to look forward to in next 2 weeks!

SW Regional brackets are out ...

http://liveresults.escapesports.com/PIA ... AA_SW.html#

... and if I'm Mitchell Hall, I'm feeling screwed! How is Mitchell the 3rd seed?

And on the same side of the bracket as Selepack?

So ... big QF match for Buttry vs Gill ... then, if he does win, it will be a rematch in SF vs Beattie, whom he beat at State Duals ... so I'm liking his chances for yet another rematch vs Hall in the Finals ...

On the other hand, if he falls to Gill ... it will be a tough road to Hershey for him as he will likely face ranked wrestlers early in the consi rounds ...

FUN!

Hall is third, because Selepack has beat him two out of three this year. I think that is why Hall is third. Hall is on the same side of the bracket as Selepack.
