Northern Cambria suspends their wrestling program
Knop's Knotes:
http://knopsnyder.blogspot.com/2014/10/ ... -have.html
Only had 3 returning wrestlers + 1 from Purchase Line, and last year had 0 jr high wrestlers.
Of the 6 surrounding school districts, only Cambria Heights and Central Cambria have wrestling, so I'd guess that they would be the potential coop partners, if NC went that direction.

Re: Northern Cambria suspends their wrestling program
If there is a co-op doesn't the receiving school have to take on the enrollment of that school for which they are allowing those kids to wrestle. They should just wrestle as independents just as the FH
swimmers do.
swimmers do.

Re: Northern Cambria suspends their wrestling program
I'm not sure of the rules regarding a co-op this late in the game - end of October is late to be setting up a co-op with a neighboring school.
I believe that the co-op school's enrollment counts at 50%. I haven't looked at CC or CH's enrollment to see if that would put them into AAA.
Also I believe that the PIAA removed the rule requiring the school districts to neighbor each other, though NC to a nonneighboring school district would likely be a lot of travel.
