Central @ Huntingdon dual meet (not districts)

Post by SteveMerkle »

Central and Huntingdon have a dual meet scheduled for next week. Central has it listed for Monday Feb 2 and Huntingdon has it listed for Tuesday Feb 3. Does anyone know the true date that this match will occur? Also, assuming Huntingdon wins their first round district match, they will wrestle Central on Saturday. If this occurs, will they still wrestle their scheduled dual meet next week?

Maybe im wrong, but if Huntingdon wins tomorrow wouldn't they wrestle Weekend? And the correct date would be Tuesday the 3rd from what I can see.

Yes if Huntingdon wins tomorrow they wrestle this Saturday against central. Thats what I said... But will they still wrestle each other on Tuesday/Monday if they wrestle each other this weekend?

Also, I'm curious as to what everyone's predictions are for the Huntingdon/Central match. I think it will be an extremely close match. Here are my predictions, team score in parenthesis:

106: Ulery C dec over Hoover (3-0)
113: Benson H major over Earnest (3-4)
120: Swab C fall over Shope (9-4)
126: Glorioso H major over Biddle (9-8)
132: Kennedy C dec over Scott (12-8)
138: Hoenstine C fall over Sheaffer (18-8)
145: Quarello C dec over Baney (21-8)
152: Oliver H fall over Biddle (21-14)
160: Simpson H fall over Ulery (21-20)
170: Wagner H major over Smith (21-24)
182: Mock C dec over Fisher (24-24)
195: Norris H major over Gahagan (24-28)
220: Conrath C dec over Edwards (27-28)
285: Brumbaugh C dec over Shope (30-28)

But really, 106, 132, 182, 220, and 285 all look like total toss-ups to me...

Scott is injured or he wins over Kennedy. I also think Baney wins 145. Definitely will be close.

One thing about Central matches is that there's usually a lot of pins one way or another. It seems like they pin or get pinned. Didn't expect as many pins as there were last night vs. Mount Union but that's the way high school matches go
