I think it's fair to ask this question heading into the AA State Team tourney ... can Ridge improve on their 31-29 loss to Brookville in the Ultimate Duals?  They are seeded/ranked to square off in the SemiFinals on Friday night ...

Well, we were rightly cautioned not to look past Boiling Springs ... and the Lions took care of that business.
But, Brookville did not!  They lost to Southern Columbia, 29-22 ... so they are next up in the Semi's for the Lions ... at 8pm tonight

PS.  Ah, I just re-looked at the rankings ... the Southern Columbia victory over Brookville was NOT an upset ... they are ranked #2 to Brookville's #3 (with Lions as #4, Reynolds as #1, Muncy as #6).

Dual team wrestling  is all about matchups, and I actually like the Lions this evening.  Unfortunately, both teams are wrestling for 2nd place because Reynolds is freaking unreal!

Huntington stays alive by knocking off McDevitt 38-31 and sets up a battle with Harbor Creek tomorrow.  Huntington matched up great against McDevitt and was able to pick up wins and bonus points where McDevitt had holes!  I like Huntington in this next matchup.  

The young Hilltoppers are eliminated by Boiling Springs 35-20 in another competitive match.  11 of 14 Westy starters are sophomores or freshmen, so they certainly represented themselves well, and this was definitely a good learning experience for them.  

With a young Westmont, a ready to emerge Forest Hills, an ever steady Huntington, the probability that St. Joes adds to an already star-studded cast, the addition of solid BEA and Phillipsburg programs, and the steady improvement of other teams, D6 AA is going to be a war to get out of starting next year!

St. Joes has kids on their roster from State College, Penns Valley, and many from Bellefonte that i know about.
