Please keep North Star's Keaton Furry and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Just hours after wrestling against Chestnut Ridge in the D5 finals on Saturday, he was rushed to the hospital with a debilitating headache that caused him to slur his words and experience numbness in his legs. He underwent surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, where they removed a non-cancerous cyst from his brain. Early reports are promising, but he'll likely be in the ICU for a while.
I wrote about it in today's Tribune-Democrat - http://www.tribdem.com/news/north-star-wrestler-undergoes-brain-surgery-hours-after-match/article_d6aff676-0aef-11e8-8e56-bbdec4a45220.html - and on PA Power Wrestling - http://www.papowerwrestling.com/keaton-furry-well-brain-surgery/
The District 5 wrestling community has been outstanding, with many of the schools organizing T-shirt sales honoring Keaton, including one by Seth Harbaugh - the Chestnut Ridge senior he faced on Saturday. I absolutely love how the wrestling community comes together to support one of its own. If I get info on how to order shirts, I'll past that along. If you don't see it here, ask your local school if they're doing anything.
In the meantime, here's info from his aunt on how to send Keaton messages of support:

If anyone would like to send an E-card with well wishes for Keaton Furry they can do so by going to: https://www.ahn.org/send-e-card.

Anyone who would like to send a paper card can do so by mailing it to:

Prayers extended to young Mr. Furry. Hate to see anyone go through this. Bad timing for sure.
