PA Power Wrestling is holding its first-ever tournament, and we're looking to bring in some of the top wrestlers in Pennsylvania and the Northeast.
You can enter on FloArena here: https://events.flowrestling.org/event/b18b09ed-104d-204e-2c8c-d528d4ed3569/registration
Here are the details:

What: The Surge
When: Nov. 3-4, 2018
Where: Pitt-Johnstown
Weights: Varsity plus 4 pounds (106=110, 113=117, etc.). Wrestlers need only weigh in once for the tournament. There will be early weigh-ins Friday night as well as ones Saturday morning for those who don't want to spend extra money on hotels (we know what it means to work within a budget)
Who: For wrestlers in 8th through 12the grade
Why: We love doing rankings at PA Power Wrestling, but it's hard to tell who has gotten better over the summer as well as how young wrestlers will fit into the mix. We hear from coaches and parents about why their wrestler should be ranked higher. Here's your chance to #ProveIt.
Entry fee: $45 before Oct. 1; $60 after.
Prize: Each individual weight class champion will receive a PA Power Wrestling Hammer Award (and probably a bump in the rankings)
The field: We're capping the field at 400 wrestlers. With wrestlers from Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and West Virginia having already committed to wrestle and a big "Surge" expected before Oct. 1, the field will fill up quickly.
Recruiting opportunities: We have good relationships with coaches throughout the state and nation, many of whom rely on our rankings when looking at prospective recruits. Not only is this a chance to impress us, but them as well. We're sending invitations to dozens of college coaches and will be providing them with detailed bios on Surge participants. This could be your chance to show them what you're made of!

Any local boys do well here?

Looks like the heavier weights were playing football ... they didn't have anyone at 195, for example.

Rangers' Jackson Arrington lost the 106 final, and Erik Gibson won the 145.
