King of the Mountain
FH, CR and NS are going to be there. It starts at 2:00 pm today and continues at 10:00 am tomorrow. Here is the link to follow along. Flo Arena.
Does anyone know if Kai Burkett will be wrestling 106 for the post season? He is the pre-seed number 2 @106 for KotM.

Re: King of the Mountain
Just as an aside, Tuesday nt. in New Paris should be a doozy. No guideline, but just food for thought, the past 2 matches between their respective opponents, Bedford and CC, I project 6 matches for CR, 6 for FH, with 2 that could go either way. Coin flips, forfeits, and who sends out who weighs into this also. Get there early for this one, may be the best, if not one of the best, this area will see this yr. How many of the 2 teams, if any, will go head to head this weekend as a preview?
It ain't over until it's over.

Re: King of the Mountain
I agree Manfred, and I have to back off of a statement I made earlier in the year. I said the Forest Hills run may be a year or 2 away. After seeing their lineup through 2 matches, this is a team that should be one of the front runners for LHAC and D6 titles this year (they could be even better this year had they not lost a PJW runner-up to transfer). I'd also add Westmont into the conversation. I think these teams are all fairly even pending on who gets to dictate match-ups. The FH-CR match next week should be a great one. Hopefully, both teams come through this weekend relatively healthy.Manfred wrote:Just as an aside, Tuesday nt. in New Paris should be a doozy. Appreciate the honesty and candor, but I'm still a little more conservative regarding getting to districts.
Very surprised Gibson didn't get a bye. Just make him more hungry for the finals.

Re: King of the Mountain
Gibson is a good wrestler who will have a great career but he really hasn't done anything at the varsity level to deserve a bye. I'm sure after this tournament he will get what he deserves.

Anyone know why Ridge doesn't have anyone at 170 at KOM? Unless I'm just missing it...

Re: King of the Mountain
After the first day of wrestling, Ridge is sitting in 4th place with 68 points and 5 guys in the quarter finals and 5 guys still alive in the concy’s. Forest Hills is sitting in 8th place with 54 points and 5 guys in the quarter finals and 4 left in the concy’s. CR and Forest Hills wrestlers met two times, with Forest Hills winning both matches.

I think they could have had someone in there, but he was out due to injuryTylerRose wrote:Anyone know why Ridge doesn't have anyone at 170 at KOM? Unless I'm just missing it...
