A couple of those are toss-ups, but I still think Westy wins, more convincingly than people think.
Just bustin’ your chops a bit.

Re: LHAC Championship
Nope, you're not missing anything at all. Ridge won the coin toss, but it wouldn't have mattered. When you win 10 of 14 bouts, you make sure that's not a factor. Ridge wrestled very well and was definitely the better team.bcor wrote:So ... was the coin toss critical?
Seems like match would have been 42-24 if coin toss goes other way (assuming Muto wins by fall and McGill wins by fall) ... or am I missing something?
Re: LHAC Championship
I had 33-25 on my blog, but gave the disclaimer that I am rarely right so tonight backs that up. I thought CR's key wins were 113, 120, 160, and 170. N. Holderbaum and Dull got the Lions out of the gate well, then S. Holderbaum and McVicker set up their stud upperweights to close it out. Chestnut Ridge clearly the better team.
Re: LHAC Championship
I was just gonna post this morning that I completely missed on my prediction, lol. Gotta admit that Ridge won literally every toss-up bout, which is why they owned Westy.SportsFan96 wrote:This prediction didn’t age welleverett wrote:Wt. Chestnut Ridge W L Westmont Hilltop W L

What is the outlook for Ridge in next few years? I had originally thought their time was about up, but after seeing this and seeing some Jr. High results, I'm not sure anyone can touch them for next few years.
Re: LHAC Championship
The next few years (except maybe next year) will be as Artie Johnson used to say: Veeeeeryy IN-teresting!
It ain't over until it's over.
Re: LHAC Championship
I'm no Ridge fan, but I just don't see anyone upending them anytime soon. I know you think FH is going to challenge them, but judging from JH scores, I just don't see that happening.Manfred wrote:The next few years (except maybe next year) will be as Artie Johnson used to say: Veeeeeryy IN-teresting!
FH may have more star power, but Ridge just has an entire team of kids that just seem to rise to the occasion, with very few weak spots. I know there numbers in Elem are down, so maybe in 4-5 years that will change, but I just don't see it in the near future.

Re: LHAC Championship
I know CR’s JR High team has done very well the past couple years. I’m pretty sure they are undefeated so far this season and I think CR has won the JR High Mt. Conference tournament for the past couple years, which has a lot of the LHAC teams that participate in it. The elementary program numbers have grown the past couple of years too and they had over 70+ kids sign up for the elementary program this year.

Re: LHAC Championship
That wasn’t even a match! People underestimate how good ridge wrestling is and has been for years. But forest hills is the team closing in on ridge, not westmont.
