Anybody going some predictions on who is going to move on from d5 & d6 this weekend?

Wrestling begins at 1 PM Friday and 10 AM Saturday.

Just took a quick look at the brackets for regionals and what really stood out is the amount of underclassmen who were district champs. 106-160 there were 4 Seniors who were district champs. That’s 4 out of 27 (15%). The heavier weights had more seniors, with 170 being all seniors. But overall for the region there were 42 district champs and only 13 were seniors(31%). It’s a ridiculously young region and a sign of increased competition in the coming years.

anybody have any thoughts after day 1

Laurel Highlands with 4 of the top 11 teams...ICC with three of the top 15 after day 1. Really good showing locally. Forest Hills with 3 alive in semis says Manny is right about their future. Exciting first day.
