Re: AAABA THREAD(THOUGHT ID CREATE A NEW ONE)
Not really writing anyone off...or trying too...freshman seasons can be aberration's...
Colin is basically one of the smallest players in Division 1 baseball...you can say he's not that small...but he is small. Average arm, average speed, average pop...I didn't drink the Harrington or Roberts Kool-Aid...but hey what do I know...you know Colin, so obviously your right.
Also their was a repeated inability to play thru a minor injury last summer...even if his shoulder was that badly messed up, or his hamstring , or whatever (probably papercut) he isn't durable...injury prone means redflag!
He won't ever see more than 125-150 at bats in college...if that's what he wants in life great...if not...he should transfer...
George did have a tough year...mainly because of injuries...who knows what lies in the future for both of these players...I hope they do well...
Rasky won't be back for Martellas.
Pat Smith won't be back for Delweld...couple that with Austin Urban being drafted and probably going...Delweld might not be so high on the AAABA perch anymore...also a nasty rumor circling that Mike McDermott won't be back for the summer along with Kody Reighard...don't know if their is any truth to that statement...please clarify posters from Nanty Glo!
Get on the Urban train now people...top 5 Rounder...take it to the bank!

Well you dont know him so you must be right. A torn Labrum and broken ankle both of which required surgery are hardly papercuts. You must be made of steel if both of those injuries are the equivalent of a papercut.
Dustin Pedroia starting 2B and All Star From Boston is listed 5-9 180. Colin Harrington is 5-10 180.
Actually the starting Second Basemen from UVA is 5-6 160. Yeah you have no logic there.
Usually the guys that rip on Colin tend to be Forest Hills or Delweld people that try to make a rivalry between the two. There isnt a rivalry. But you just seem to have something against him. If thats what you want in life hey thats great.
I'll take Urban not being a top 5 rounder to the bank.

Can I get some of that "outside the top 5 rounds" action too. He's good, but not that much.
It ain't over until it's over.

Thanks for putting up Roxberry's website.. Looks like another joke year..Wow what a roster.
Losing Rasky is huge.. Delweld better hope those rumors aren't true.. I have no idea what to project about the league

delweld picked up drew mccabe a 17 year old from bc ..he tore his acl in a high school game a few weeks ago and he is having surgery so that will b anothe lose for delweld ...mccabe wasnt going to start but he would have been a good bench player
Re: AAABA THREAD(THOUGHT ID CREATE A NEW ONE)
WOW... So does taking some of that not in the top 5 rounds action make you feel good? I'd think that any real fan would be thrilled to see a kid from the area go in any round. How many of these players that are discussed even have a chance to get drafted. The kid has a once in a lifetime shot, why do so many feel compelled to trash the kid without even seeing him? I bet if manfred or crimson even were considered to be drafted in their playing days they'd never let us hear the end of it.
To both of you, my advice is to not drink the Urban, Roberts, or Harrington kool-aid. After all, they only succeeded in landing D1 scholarships. But please order a few kegs of the average Division II and III caliber players who call Johnstown AAABA dreams 'Nirvana'. I'll drink to that!

Ok...he's going in the top 5 rounds...talk to Bob Mayer...talk to Rick Masko...talk to any scout of this area...
He's constantly 88-92 with a second plus pitch...and a workable changeup...
He has already talked to teams about his sign-a-bility...it's a done deal if he doesn't get hurt...
You can compare colin's size to a big leaguer...but I think your setting expectations way to high for your glory boy...
I hope Colin does well...but reality and hope are two different ideas and words...reality will set in next year when he gets his playing time in the fall...then when spring rolls around, he's a situational pinch runner...only at home games..
Get of his nuts John

Not sure how much letgoferndale knows about the rosters with his comments about Roxberry Creamery and losing Rasky....Rasky is just one player and the last time I looked there was 9 players on the field
