Homer 'scrimmaged' FH last eve., Rangers out-scoring Wildcats 8-1. HC had a nice lefty, threw 2 innings. Held the bats for FH in check. Might be a great matchup against Christner. Surprised at the use of the IH for at least 2 games. Located in D5, after all, not D6, even though Richland does play there.

Yeah, I guess common sense sometimes prevails. Hey, District 5 uses UPJ as their home court for basketball playoffs, and it's in District Six.

Could be due for some rainouts today.  I saw they already cancelled a 1:00 game in Latrobe, so we'll see if any of the local games in Windber or Mt. Aloysius get played today.  

IH is turf infield.

Yeah, I'm aware. It shouldn't take much work to get the field ready. They just need to be sure they can play with 2 of the 4 teams traveling pretty far.


They cancelled all the games in the Pittsburgh area already, both baseball and softball.

Cancellations could really throw things for a loop with pitch counts for next round. Teams that play today will have 2 days rest. Teams that don't only 1.

I see both sides of the new rule. IMHO, it should be the Coaches discretion when games are PP'd. Esp. for states, and with uncertain weather.

It's just after NOON, is there any way to determine if local games have been cancelled or not, besides waiting until gametime and not seeing teams on the field?  BMCHS' opponent -IS- from the Pittsburgh area, and FH's is almost to Philly.
