Scores 4-30 to 5-5

In what had to be -the- big game of tonight, in Lilly, the Rangers hung a 10 spot against Mason Ronan in less than 3 innings, in front of a dozen or more scouts before the Panthers fell eventually 14-3 in 7 full inn.  I thought Ronan looked quicker last year.  Hope nothing is the matter with that D1 arm.  I wished him good luck before the game- was that a jinx?

He's been pretty much lights out all year. Everyone has a bad day. Don't think he'll have to wait too long to hear his name called during the draft in June.

Why's this the first thread of this kind for baseball? Because FH beat PC and Ronan?  If PC wins this thread doesn't exist..

This wasn't a swipe at Ronan, and if you thought it was, the onus is on you.  In case you missed it, I have started several weekly threads throughout the season, and due to personal reasons wasn't able to the past couple weeks.  The Trib thought enough of reporting this game that it was the sports pages' main front page story.  Like CG said, the kid has been lights out, it was too bad he had to stumble in front of all the scouts & homeys.

Just messing with you. There's nothing wrong with his arm not to make excuses both pitchers had to deal with the wind . You were there . I was standing by the dugout on the first base side.  The wind was blowing at least 30 mph across the field from the first base line to left field right through the pitchers mound.  I think that's why his fast ball wasn't as fast. It probably cost him 3-5 mph throwing into the wind . I think he topped  out at 86-87 with a calmer day he would've definately hit 90 plus consistently . That's my opinion.

Thanks. I don't disagree with your assessment, but what does that say about Bernard, who had to deal with the same conditions. Just saying.
