Be nice if today were the opening play date. Hopefully the fields are ready and we see some early season action. Who will be the pre-season picks as fun teams to watch and who should be the most fun players to follow throughout the season? Top LHAC teams? Forest Hills Bishop MCCort and Somerset? WestPAC? Meyersdale North Star and Conemaugh Township? Don’t know much about the Bedford side of the mountain Chestnut Ridge in line for a good year? Let’s get some baseball chatter rolling!

Games scheduled for next week could legitimately go on. I can’t remember the potential for games being played in March occurring for quite some time, even if a school plays on turf. Hope I can see some ball next week.

Some nice early match ups listed there. This should be the age group for Mount Union where their LL was very strong. Will that show at the varsity level this year?

Not Tussey. Their games with Fannett-Metal have been postponed.

Looks good for baseball to be played the last week of March. Games scheduled at least through Thursday should be played this week. Never would have seen that coming with the wet summer, fall and winter that we had. Best of luck to all of the teams as they get their seasons underway.
