I also wonder how many of these athletes who would be great if it weren't for the coaches put in any time in the offseason. I am guessing none. Probably too busy riding 4 wheelers and putting sound systems in the cars.

I hear about ridge doing unnessary drills at practice all the time. Today I saw it with my own eyes. When I was driving passed the CR high school I saw the baseball team throwing a football as part of a drill. I think the coach has his seasons mixed up. Football is in the fall, not spring, and even if they were during it for some part of a drill for some strange reason, what would it help?(Please Answer Me That Question)

It was one of the drills we were doing tonight. Don't ask me why. He said the major leagues do it or something like that.

ever hear of a pitcher named Nolan Ryan? that was one of his favorite drills. It strengthens the rotator cuff as well as increases accuracy.

You will see new things like that when you move on to higher levels of baseball.

hmm, here I always thought that throwing a baseball and football were two totally different things, if you want to learn how to throw a baseball accurately, use a baseball. Sure it might strengthen your arm, but the release is the most important part of any throw, and releasing a football and a baseball are two TOTALLY differnet things...
