Has anyone had a chance to watch Berlin play yet this season? I was pretty sure they were towards the bottom of the rankings last season but they have been racking up some wins so far this season?

My newest rankings
Rockwood (still haven't seen them just basing off news articles)
Township
NS (haven't seen them yet either)
McConnellsburg
Berlin
Windber
NBC
Southern Fulton
Hyndman
Fannet Metal
Everett
Forbes
Salsbury

Some of the scores ive been reading on line are really catching me off guard. The fight for home field advantage sounds like its gonna be really close

Berlin is no joke, they have a bunch of gritty guys that can play and play well together. They are a great team defensive unit and the rarely get beat on via a lot of goals. The only thing that I think they lack is the ability to score, it's great that they are a good team defensively but you are seeing games where they are losing 1-0 2-1 those got to be the games you win. When you are limiting people that much you have to take advantage of it and score some goals. As for the big picture, rockwood is still my #1, they are playing their style very well. Sometimes I think they lack a purpose with the ball but usually their supreme athleticism gets them out of it. Windber plays great all game every game, my only ptoblem with them is they don't seem to have a high gear, they play at the same speed at all times it seems. I am back into the area and I have been to a ton of games, from what I've seen here is my top five:

1. Rockwood
2. Windber
3. North Star
4. McConellsburg
5. Berlin

North Star and Berlins records are both deceiving, they both have the bulk of the difficulty of their schedule out of the way so they should both make playoffs easy.

As for individual stuff here are 5 players that I believe are top in the district right now:
1. Jake Forish: this kid is solid, he is most of the reason why Windber is even a contender
2. Fungaroli from Ridge: I know he is double A but still he is a beast. The poor kid had to go up against North Stars midfield last year and that was the only time I saw him in person, but from what I hear he is dominating this year
3. Matt Romesburg: kid is a freshman, I have never seen any freshman play like he does in my life, so cool calm and collected and he has an excellent attitude
4. Justin Vasas: goal scoring machine
5. Midfielder from McConnels: not sure what his name or number was but he had an excellent first touch and very good distribution from the deep lying spot he was at

I shouldn't have let you talk me out of it. I had windber winning the hole thing before the season started (look at my original prediction) lol. Windber beat Rockwood 2-0 in the final. Wish I could have made that game.
