4th ranked punter in the country Blake Gillikin from Georgia just committed to PSU over UGA and Northwestern.

This might not be big news for most programs. However any Penn State fan/follower who has watched the team for the last few seasons has saw the state the teams punting game is in. This is great news.

Having noticed how many times PSU punted last year, no wonder he wanted to go there. Why go somewhere and just sit around. He wants action on the field.

Penn State received commits from 2 DTs this week...

3* Michael Dwumfour from NJ and 3* Christian Colon from NC. Colon is the higher rated of the 2, having offers from ND, UCLA, UNC, Miami, SCar, Pitt and several others. The commits bumped PSU to 9th on the 247 ranks.

Also just picked up 4* Ellison Jordan today

Four big 10 teams in the top 8 in recruiting rankings. Several more in the 20's. Big change from the last 5-10 years. The difference is most kids from the big ten footprint are staying in the big ten instead of running for the SEC.

Pitt also got a nice commit today from 3* WR Ruben Flowers out of Ohio. Flowers had offers from Iowa, Indiana, Kentucky and several MAC schools.

Kinda surprised by this one as he hasn't been talked of being one of those expected to commit and he hasn't even made a visit. Joseph had offers from Michigan and Michigan St. and was projected by most to end up at one of those two.

With the commitment of Joseph PSU moves up to #6 ranked recruiting class in the nation and #2 in the B1G.

DB Tony Butler has de-committed from Pitt and is leaning toward Michigan.
