Pat Chambers got off easy

Penn State from the mighty Big Ten narrowly escaped with a 7 point victory over St. Francis (PA.) last night in front of 300 people at the BJC. St Francis could be argued for being the worst program in NCAA Division One Basketball. The NEC is among the worst conferences in the country, and its hard to imagine Penn State would be able to win the league.

Sounds like Chambers had better get IUP on the schedule...WAIT, IUP is better than PSU.

I'm glad Pitt dropped PSU and picked up Mt. St. Mary's. A move like that helped Pitt's RPI immensely.

I noticed STFU, who was ranked dead last in the preseason NEC poll, held a lead in the second half.

Tim Frazier will miss the rest of the 2012-2013 season with a ruptured Achilles tendon suffered in the PSU loss to Akron on Sunday.

Well they kinda need Geno Thorpe....NOW. Also I saw Brandon Austin, senior for Imhotep Charter out of Philly committed to Providence this week. I believe he was once a PSU pledge.

Caught some of the PSU/BC game tonight. At one point, PSU was losing by 20 with 5:30 to go. PSU had just missed 14 field goal attempts in a row. The announcer said, "This isn't a drought, it's a famine". I'm still chuckling as I write this. He then said, "This may be the worst offensive performance I've seen this year". To their credit, PSU made a nice run but lost by 11. The BJC was empty, considering the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

....Same old story on Channel 8 sports tonight at 10PM. Opened with the Pens. Then the Tomahawks. Followed with highlights of St. Francis men's and women's basketball. Then highlights from Pitt's win against UConn. However, as per usual, absolutely NO MENTION at all about Penn State losing at home today against last place Nebraska. Not EVEN the score was given. Again, I find it amazing how Channel 8 and 6 become sooooo selective about how they report Penn State sports.

They cover what matters at the time... Penn State hoops = Pitt football

Both get short changed.
