In the 22 games following this huge 10 game set the Pirates will complete today, the team will play 19 games against teams under .500. The only team they play with a winning record comes up this weekend wit Colorado.

After that the stretch to end the year is crazy. They play a lot of divisional games and they have series games against LA, Wash, and Balt.

I know that's way out there....but.... just to think about. After this 22 it's only divisional games and those 3 teams.

I'm not setting myself up for disappointment. I said it before, when they were 6, 8 games under .500, when they can get to that figure above .500, then I might start to care a little more.

Coach, you misunderstood.  Read again.  Not .500, but 6-8 games ABOVE .500.
