Should steelers look to trade bell?

With Bell refusing to report to training camp due to a contract dispute would this be the best time to try and trade him while his value is high?? At this point as a fan ive grown annoyed of him. Yes he has great talent and is definitely a top back in this league but he has a nack to not be on the field.

Whether its by suspension or injury bell has almost found a way every season to miss substantial time! With him not reporting for training camp ill be more than happy to see him traded elsewhere... Its only time before he is banned a full year for a failed drug test because his character has shown its all about him and not about his team

No, they shouldn't trade him.  He's only under Steelers' control for this season, and the Steelers need to go for the Super Bowl this year and having the best running back in the league helps you get there.

Let him walk after this year or he'll come around and sign a more realistic deal with the team.

Well right now he is signed to nothing. The steelers have a good line but need help in their defense. Trade bell, get something for their secondary. You wont win a superbowl with the way their defense is. That was clear last year during playoffs

The offense actually failed them in the last 2 games of the playoffs.  They beat KC on 6 field goals, and once Bell went down against New England they really struggled there as well.  Obviously the defense got torched, but taking Bell out of the game really exposed them as well. They need good offense and defense to beat the Patriots.  17 points just isn't going to do it.

The NFL doesn't really have the same trading culture as the NBA and MLB has, the Steelers aren't going to to trade Le'veon - it's just so rare for a giant NFL trade. Also, without a contract in place, what team is going to give up anything useful for him? He may be hitting the open market next offseason anyway, might as well just wait.

He's eventually going to play this season under the franchise tag for 12 million. What happens after that is a mystery. But get what you can get out of him this year.

Keep him and run him until his legs fall off.  No reason to trade him he will show if he wants to get paid.  After this year let him go hopefully Conner looks good

Yeah, they should trade the best running back in the league, just like the Penguins should trade the best hockey player in the world.

Right now the steelers do not have the best back in the league. Bell hasnt signed anything and isnt reporting to camp. If it goes longer than 5 days trade him!!!

Not to a division rival or afc team but hey maybe we can trade him to the seahawks for richard sherman and one other player.

What makes you think teams are going to give up a lot to get him? If a team is not 100% certain they're going to sign him to a longer term deal they are not going to give up much at all to acquire him. Trades like this just don't happen often in the NFL.
