What a wild weekend for the College Football Season. Right now we are starting to see some separation for the 4 team playoffs but there still is a lot of room for controversy like last year.

1. Miami
2. Alabama
3. Wisconsin
4. Oklahoma
5. Clemson
6. UCF
7. Auburn
8. Georgia
9. Notre Dame
10. Ohio State

CFB Rankings right now. Dumbfounded at the disrespect towards Miami, Oklahoma and UCF at this point.... Penn State has no reason to be in the top 10. Clemosn being #2 and being ahead of the oklahoma and miami is amazing... Oklahoma has 2 wins vs top 15 teams in the CFB rankings, 2 on the road, and somehow clemson is ranked ahead of them????

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Miami
4. Oklahoma
5. Wisconsin
6. Auburn
7. Georgia
8. Notre Dame
9. Ohio State
10. Penn State

Clemson has more wins over teams over .500 than any team in the top 25. That win over Auburn looks great and their only loss was by 3 points on the road in a game which their star QB was injured. I personally would take Miami over Clemson but that will work itself out when they play each other in a couple weeks. I don't see how you can even consider UCF. Just my opinion.

UCF has as many top 25 wins as wisconsin and miami right now and 1 less than alabama. Yes I know they dont play in a power conference but they are undefeated.

Heck UCFs top 25 win is a higher team than wisconsins. I just feel any undefeated team right now deserves a top 10 ranking, especially over the 2 loss teams

The top seven teams control their own destiny other than the following situation:  Clemson or Miami gets one slot for winning ACC the other is out.  Oklahoma wins out and they are in.  Wisconsin wins out.  The SEC goes down as follows:  Bama beats Auburn.  UGa wins out and then beats Bama in a close title game.  In that scenario, I think the SEC gets two (UGa and Bama) and Wisconsin is on the outside looking in.  Note that that's what I think they will do.  My thought has always been that you are not eligible for the playoff if you do not win your conference.

Who would you take out then?  A 12-1conf champ Clemson; a 12-1 conf champ Oklahoma; a 12-1 conf runner-up Bama; or a 12-1 conf champ UGa?  I think it will be interesting.

All of the above would be behind them in my opinion because the 1 loss. But Bama should be the one gone in that scenario.

I am agreeing with you - for the most part - as far as who should be left out.  What I am asking/saying is who will the committee leave out.  Based on last year - they put in the four teams who they think are the best.  I can't see Bama being left out if that is their criteria.  This is the only scenario I see in which somebody (in the top 7) may not control their own destiny.  Lets put it this way, I would be sweating if I was any of these teams under this scenario.

If the committe did that it would make people ask for the BCS back and who knows what else. Rankings are iffy right now IMO but that would be stupid... Just plain stupid.
