I know its silly but this game almost feels like a statement game that finally that steelers offense is back on track and ready to make a deep playoff run. All the players are having fun and defensively this is the best the steelers have played in years.

They did look good last night. Imagine how good they’d be if they could consistently finish drives.

Scary thing is they are 8-2 while looking very average on offense. If they get their weapons going they will be tough to beat.

Do they still diss the flag and all this country stands for?  I'm only asking, because since the media just skips it for more commercials,  the ordinary joe who can't afford to attend games in person, likely won't ever know.

I never heard about NFL players protesting America or the anthem or the flag. Maybe that's a new protest after the one they had about police brutality.  

They were protesting the anthem, they said it was racist. I honestly think some just protest since that’s what other players are doing. Most people are followers, with very few leaders.

I agree. Somehow it got out that people were protesting the military even though they clearly aren't. But once that rumor started, people followed and believed that angle.

I think the protests have died down, but the initial one got people talking at least. That was the ultimate goal.

Republicans and Democrats blowing everything out of proportion to make one side look bad and the other good. It’s a shame that even sports are becoming that way.

I think there's a way to come down the middle on the issue of these protests. Not everyone is an unpatriotic liberal or a racist republican.  This isn't the type of issue that divided the country as much as it did.

If he reads the Tribune Review he will.  All Steelers were accounted for standing for the Anthem.  One Titan stayed in the locker room while three raised their fists while standing.   I believe several ordinary joes though were in line for beer or to pee while the Anthem was being played, thus dissing America, Chevrolet, apple pie, etc.
