Miami's not that good, that was the third best team Pitt played this year. Penn State would crush Miami.

Like i said... Its easy to seem undefeated and say other teams would be undefeated in X conference but its not as easy as one thinks.

Honestly idk if penn state could beat miami but Miami should not of lost to a 4-7 team just like clemson shouldnt of lost to 4-7 syracuse.

Not talking Miami's schedule vs. Penn State's schedule, when you watch the two teams one looks better than the other. Pitt result aside even.

Eh... Penn state looked bad vs plenty of teams this year.

And yes Penn State blew out pitt and pitt beat miami but...

Miami blew out Notre dame, who beat michigan state, who beat penn state.

Miami has still beaten better teams than penn state so far

They looked great against ND, but most of the year they were skating by.

Beat 5 win FSU by 4
Beat Georgia Tech by 1
Beat Syracuse by 8
Beat UNC by 5
Were trailing UVA for most of the game last week
Lost to Pitt by 2 scores today

Aside from a couple of games, they just haven't been dominant.  They deserved to be #2, but they had flaws.

I have no real reason to diminish Pitt's best win this season, or pump up Penn State. I just think Miami was a tad overrated. The ESPN hype machine with "The U" and the turnover chain added to Miami's opinion from people.

For the most part, I agree with Crimson.  Miami is definitely not the second best team in the country - or even close.  I watched most of the game today and Miami has a good defense but they had absolutely no offense today.  The QB missed a lot of throws.  And they could not run at all on Pitt.  Their only rushing yards were scrambles by their QB.  But that being said, it was the classic trap game.  It was basically Pitt's bowl game.  And it was really completely inconsequential to Miami.  I think if they beat Clemson next week, they are still in the playoffs.  So I think motivation had a lot to do with the result today.  As far as Pitt, this was a big time re-building year.  At one point in August (before the last cuts) they had more rookies in NFL camps then any college (13 at the time).  They lost a lot from a team with a real good offense and a bad defense.  This year, they really didn't have a QB.  Pickett played well today for a true freshman in his first start.  A little to be excited about for next year.

2 undefeated teams left in FBS. Alabama and Miami went down. Will either team be in the top 4 though?
