It is not toxic.  Basketball is a quick rebuild.  It only takes a few high level players .  With grad transfers and relaxed transfer rules on the horizon, it can be done relatively quickly.  Pitt will have a high level coach before lunchtime Thursday.

I still regret Pitt hiring Kevin Stallings, so it's never too late for that.

Neither one was offered the job. I like Tim Cluess from Iona though, but he's 60 years old, that's not what Pitt needs at the moment. He's a very good coach.

Maybe pitt needs a good coach right now to stablize the program. There arent any real solid, young options out there and even less that want to move to a team as bad as shape as pitt
