Anthem Protest Policy: NFL

Post by konjo78 »

Did the NFL go to far? Not far enough? Do you agree with it or find it controlling?

I for one would almost rather see the national anthem phased out rather than forcing players to stand or be fined.

No they are given the option of either staying in the locker room OR standing during the national anthem.

Funny thing is the NBA requires all players and personnel to stand for the National Anthem and there is zero pushback. It’s all about the piss poor relationship the NFL has with it’s players and I agree with the lockout comment. NBA has much better relationship with it’s players.

Yep, the NBA has better dialogue with their players. Adam Silver is a very good commissioner. He might be the only commissioner that doesn't get viciously booed when he makes the announcements at the draft haha.

It wasn't THAT long ago that this was procedure. Had that rule never changed, none of this would have ever happened really.

I mean sure they put out that message a lot better but lets not forget the last NBA CBA they almost lost a full season. They have a much better public image but really its no different when it gets down to the nitty gritty for lock outs
