Can we just copy and paste your nonsense from this same topic last year to the rest of this thread and then see how it all turns out?

That "nonsense" seemed to be spot on. Especially when veteran steelers this and last year were condemning his actions and calling them a distraction in the locker room.

Not at all. That distraction had 321 carries and 85 receptions.

ESPN is reporting that Bell plans to skip training camp, but is not planning to skip any regular season games as of 20 minutes ago.  So....as you were everybody.

ESPN was the group reporting he'd sit out half a season. Sheffner I believe was the reporter. Most local media felt it was simply negotiation games by Bell's reps. They also say no way he's skipping on $900,000 a game.

Maybe people say the same thing because bell is the one doing the same song and dance?

Somehow holding a team hostage doesnt get old though?

Please explain how you would trade Bell. A team would either need about $17 million of available cap space to sign him. That allows basically the Browns, Colts, and 49ers as teams that have the availability to even trade for him. I doubt the Steelers want to hand Bell over to the Browns and then play him twice a season. So that leaves 2 teams that can even consider trading for him.  Both the 49ers and Colts are teams that have young cores and are getting close to being competitive. My guess is they would like to protect that cap space for when their younger players want bigger contracts and not use almost every last dollar of available cap space for a single player.

Long story short, they can’t trade him. To imply they should trade him just shows a lack of understanding on how contracts and cap space in the NFL works.

If they intended to trade him, it would’ve happened in april at the draft and the team he was traded to would’ve had the chance to negotiate a deal.

It’s not really possible to trade him now.  That’s why he can hold out of training camp.

I always find it comical when people act as though a trade in real life is as easy as it is in Madden.
