Tell me again that he was going to come into season no problem and why we shouldnt of traded him this offseason? Defense could of used that money to strengthen it instead of it being wasted on someone who doesnt want to show up.

How many times do we have to explain the same thing to you? Real life isn’t Madden. You can’t just trade people because you want to. There are 3 teams in he entire league that could take on his contract and stay under the cap. 3. 1 of those 3 teams are in the Steelers division. So that leaves you with 2 options.

Trade him in the offseason when they could of... Raiders got rid of Mack, maybe the steelers should of tried to make a deal with them? I would of been okay if they potentially released him in the offseason and used the space elsewhere.
Now a lot of quotes from the veteran OL sounded pretty disgusted by his choice. My whole argument is the steelers should of gotten rid of him after last season.

Seeing some twitter talk about if there was a team who could make a trade happen it might be Green Bay. They havd 2 first rounders in 2019 and cap space. Im sure pittsburgh would be making the call.
Most NFL insiders are now predicting he wont show up until week 10.

I just don't understand. What does he get from sitting out now and during the regular season? It's not helping his stock at all. You won't get trade. Let him walk and bring in some more defense.

I think he's worried about taking too many carries this season before he's an unrestricted free agent in the offseason. At least that's the logic he's using.

Crimson is right about that, but now if or when he does come back he has created a huge rift between him and his Oline.
Problem is the Steelers cant make any offer on him since he is officially tagged. If they trade him I imagine the same would hold true for whatever team would get him.
Out of curiosity I wonder if he gets drug tested if he hasnt signed a contract yet. Maybe the best blessing the steelers could get was him testing positive for weed and him being suspended a full year

He’s in the leagues substance abuse program so he gets randomly tested all year, including off-season, anytime to NFL chooses to do so....no excuses or delays. He also has to let the league know his whereabouts at all times if traveling for any reason, even out of country.
I agree with your first point, at least for his first couple games back and if he isn’t producing like everyone is used to. If he comes back and is winning games like he’s done in the past everyone will forgive and forget very quickly though.
If he were to be traded the team that gets him can offer him what whatever they want. He would have to sign his tender first to be traded anyway, which he has not done. They can’t trade him even if they want to unless he signs that paper.

Yes but we all should of known that wasnt happening. It was reported heavily in July he planned to stay out as long as possible. I know he promised he would play but he hasnt shown himself ever as Mr. Trustworthy
